We decided to hit this one spot we just found for some movnat training, the first of so many more to come. We tried to most of all the bases, we didint have any trees or much to balance or climb but the rest was well covered and we definitelly had a great time. We couldnt help do some flips and of course I had to get some sweet slowmo shoots in there.
For roxys fans, she did hike and jumped quite a bit but didnt remember to get her on video. She continues to join us and mess around with us. Next time she will be featured as well, promise.
Now go out there and train.

HIpk BBQ
So last Sunday we had a Training BBQ as a warm to the April - PK Awareness Month that we are planning. Brought a bunch of "toys" to train and play with and it was a success, we had a nice set up and lots of food. Several people came from the community and other new faces I have not seen but were happy to participate. We got lots of footage video will be up soon.
As far as training, a did several vaulting but mainly flips. My side flips are getting better and better but need to work on step off sideflips and summit. Did several fronts which hadnt done in a while and a few back layouts. Need to work on getting more distance with my kongs and need to work on longer double kongs as well. Did some gainers, everything god but working on getting further forward. Gotta remember to throw my hips out more.
Getting ready for next weekend, that is going to be wild. Ordered a banner and some flyers to promote PK and HIpk. We are expecting great Hawaii weather and great turn out. We just hope we gets lots of attention and participation from the spectators. Should be an awesome day.
Check out the flyer.

With the new year...
With this new year a lot of new things will come, we have been getting visited in the community by out of state traceur. In fact, we are training tomorrow with a traceurse from New Zealand so that is something I am looking forward too. Been giving the elbow some rest since that fall during the class a couple weeks ago, never went to the doc but I am pretty sure I sprained it a bit. Old snow boarding injury that will take just a few week sto heal. Nothing to bad but needs rest. Trying to manage to work on lower body while still trying to pamper the ankle. It is feeling good, but after long session with lots of precision it ust gets tred and stiffy the next day.
I have also been working on the APKA page, which is coming alone pretty well. Edited a few videos and having a lot of fun with the class at CF. We are almost done with it but the next one is also already scheduled.
Holidays was great an manage not to get to fat, ha.
So anyway, that is about it and here are a few things I have been working on along with the pictures I took of my sexy injured elbow a couple of days after the fall.

Ironies Of life
Talking about preservation of the body, safe training methods, starting a new regimen to get stronger.
Oh man.
I was looking forward for a gym session last night, wanted to try a few things, yet still related to what I already know, so nothing crazy. Got there, warmed up, the nice was chilly, lot of breeze coming in from the huge warehouse door that protects the gym. Some drills, flow, I just wanted to get the blood pumping really.
After a got a good sweat is was flips time, a few side flips, fronts. Everything good and smooth, "god this is a good session" I remember thinking to myself.
Time came to try my new stuff, a simple standing side flip facing forward I just want to learn from when I do precision I can finish dismounting with style. So here I go, a few failed attempts, a bit short, a bit too much. Every try was better and better. So I decided to ry it off of the low parallel bars. After all, that is what I am training it for, so I can do it off of rails.
I set myself, check the mat for cushioning, felt good. Should I put another one? I decided not to, this mat is soft enough. I got on the bar, balance on it, trying to get comfy. Turn around facing my landing spot, got ready and here I go. Everything is good, maybe a little to out, rotation is going great, I am over rotating a bit, I touch down and I hear POP along with a very familiar type of pain. I get up, yell a couple cuss words and I sat down while I saw the next 6 months of my life playing like a fast forward movie, right in fron of my eyes.
Full rest for about month until I can manage to dedicate to upper body conditioning, ankle conditioning, small flow, and then after several months the great feeling of doing flips after I work on building up courage again.
All over agan, it hasnt even been over a year since last time I sprained my ankle.
Two times in one year, this is just bull crap.
The paper is coming to our next jam, way to rep, someone in a boot talking about how safe PK is.
Well, people say things happen for a reason, I hope this is a good one.
